NEW Players Instructions
To register as a new player, follow the instructions below.- Click on Players in the Top Menu.
- Click on the blue Register button.
- Fill in the form. Be sure the required fields are completed.
- Click in the box under Signature of Applicant at the bottom left corner so that it is checked.
- Click on Sign Up button and you are registered online.
- Then, follow the Payment Instructions below to submit your fee via postal mail or VENMO. Deadline is: 3-30-2026
Player Evaluations and Season Information
- All players must be 60 years by December 31, to qualify.
- All new players must go through a skills evaluation and receive a rating. Every player in the league has a rating in order to be drafted by team managers.
- Our league welcomes players of all skill ranges which is why we rate and draft players in order to have more balanced teams throughout the league.
- New Player Orientation will be: TBD (Early April 2026). Choose one to attend. Pacific Community Park; 1515 NE 164 Ave., Vancouver 98684
- Each player will be rated on throwing, hitting, power hitting, fielding, and running.
- Please bring your glove (and bat if you have one) and plan to spend several hours for these evaluations. Also bring water to stay hydrated.
- The player draft will take place the evening of April 22nd, 2026 at 6:00pm. Once you are selected, your new team manager will contact you.
- Any practices may start the week of 4/27/2026 (each team practices one time per week) until the season starts the first week of May. The season runs through mid-August and is followed by a season end Two Pitch Tournament and BBQ on ?.
RETURNING Players Instructions
ALL PLAYERS must update/validate their profile (i.e.; email, phone, address, emergency contact, preferred positions, etc.). Then, proceed to send in your payment with instructions to the address below.- To verify your profile (i.e.; email, phone, address, emergency contact, preferred positions, etc.); follow these directions:
- Click on Players in the Top Menu.
- Click on the gold LOGIN button.
- Log in with your email and password and click on the blue Login button.
- If you can't remember your password, go to the link: "forgotten your password" to receive a temporary one to your email you used to registered with.
- Use this temporary password to log in and change it to what you want. Be sure you are logged in before continuing.
- Click on Players on the top Menu again.
- Click on Your Profile menu.
- Make any necessary updates with your information and hit the blue UPDATE button.
- Then, follow the Payment Instructions below to submit your fee via postal mail or VENMO.
- Because you have previously registered with VMSSA, your terms regarding league participation, fees, Code of Ethics/Conduct, and release of liability does not need to be renewed, even after periods of inactivity.
Payment Instructions/Mailing
All players will abide by the Code of Ethics & Conduct, Disciplinary Actions and Code & Safety described in VMSSA's Rules of Play. If you have any questions, please contact the league president. If you have a VENMO account, Vancouver Metro Senior 60 Plus Softball Association@VMSSA then paste it into your VENMO app. Use the amount of $75 and in the "What's it for?" comment section of the mobile app, enter; for player's fee. Or write a check for $75 made payable to VMSSA, specify it's for the league fee and mail to:
